Our Story: Over 38 Years of Local Commitment California Security Management (CSM) was founded in 1989 by Dennis Sigmon Sr., a former advanced police officer with a degree in Criminal Justice. After relocating to Santa Rosa, Dennis teamed up with Bill Dayton to establish CSM, earning their early reputation by providing dedicated security for iconic local landmarks like Montgomery Village and Coddingtown Mall. Over time, CSM grew into one of the area's premier security firms, eventually transitioning to sole ownership under Dennis Sr.

In 1995, Dennis Sr. made a strategic decision to downsize operations and focus exclusively on Santa Rosa. That local focus allowed CSM to build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and deliver truly personalized care. Denny Sigmon Jr. joined the company in 1997, working alongside his father to strengthen their hands-on approach.

Tested by Crisis, Dedicated to Community Our true commitment to Santa Rosa was proven during the region's most challenging moments. During the 2017 Tubbs Fire and the 2020 Glass Fire, Dennis Sr. managed emergency operations from the office while Denny worked directly in the field—entering impacted areas like Oakmont to safeguard properties, assist residents, and provide 24-hour coverage when it was needed most.

Following the passing of Dennis Sigmon Sr. in August 2021, Denny took over full ownership, carrying forward his father’s legacy of hands-on service.
